  • Is hiring a licensed contractor worth the cost?

When investing in your home, you'll need to consider both the immediate project cost and potential expenses if problems arise. Choosing a licensed and insured contractor provides you, as the property owner, with protection should any issues occur.

State Contractors Licenses aren't issued without meeting strict requirements: contractors must demonstrate minimum experience levels, pass business management examinations, undergo criminal background checks, and maintain a clean record without unresolved complaints. Virginia law also mandates that contractors maintain Workers Compensation Insurance for all employees, which means if a worker gets injured on your property, you won't be held financially responsible for medical costs and rehabilitation expenses. This protection is essential since homeowner's insurance typically doesn't cover these situations. You can verify any contractor's license status through DPOR's website at: http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/LicenseLookup/
  • Who will work on my property?

Our team consists of thoroughly trained and supervised employees. We carefully screen all personnel to guarantee they'll meet our standards for integrity and quality workmanship. Should you have any concerns at any time, please reach out to Jason or Dawne in our office so we can address them directly.
  • What is a backflow test and why do I need it?

An annual backflow test is mandated to confirm that no contaminants are flowing backward into your drinking water supply. This inspection must be performed by a licensed "backflow prevention device worker" who has received specialized training and passed a competency exam covering cross connection control and backflow prevention. Once we've completed the test, we'll submit the report to your county's utilities office.
  • What does the irrigation start up include?

We reconnect the backflow device if it was disconnected for winter storage, then pressurize the system while checking for leaks. We'll run each zone individually to inspect heads for damage or leaks and adjust them for optimal coverage. Finally, we perform the state-mandated backflow test.
  • Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we stand behind our work. All labor carries a one-year guarantee, and all materials include the manufacturer's warranty.
